This caused his weight to quickly increase again. Until it finally went back down to 82 kilograms. When it was time for pre-wedding photos, he found that he couldn’t wear suit pants anymore, so he decided to start losing weight again.

After getting married and having children, I started to lose control of my mouth.

Not only did his weight soar. But his uric acid and blood sugar levels also began to rise. Causing him to develop gout when he was only 35 years old.

One day, he developed chest pain and aching in the operating room, symptoms of acute myocardial infarction, and was rushed to the hospital. He spent a week in the ICU before being transferred to a general ward for observation.

The life-threatening encounter made him realize the impact of his diet on his health and he began to change his eating habits. He used to eat bread for breakfast and had lunch and dinner that were full of refined carbohydrates or flour.

It took 4 years to change my behavior until I lost 20 kilograms.

He gradually switched to a low-carb diet over the past 4 years. He has changed his diet to a diet that cut out refined carbohydrates and has successfully lost 20 kilograms.

A low-carb diet involves reducing your daily carbohydrate intake to about 10-20% of your recommended daily carbohydrate intake. Which means eating only 50-150 grams of carbohydrates per day. While also increasing your protein, fat, and fiber intake.

When using a low-carb diet, be sure to choose quality proteins, such as eggs, milk, legumes, and lean meats, as well as healthy fats, such as olive oil and nuts. Avoid eating foods high in sugar, and eat enough low-carb vegetables and drink plenty of water.

Chen Weilong shared that when he had lunch. He would mainly eat vegetables and chicken breast, reducing or even refraining from eating rice. In the evening. If there was a patient examination, he would ask his wife to prepare chicken breast and a vegetarian lunch box from the hospital to supplement the green vegetables and protein.

At home, he focuses on eating Mediterranean-style food, such as fresh vegetable salads drizzled with olive oil, along with high-quality protein from chicken breast and fish. He laughs and says, “Now, a small bag of rice sold in the supermarket, our family of four, can’t finish it in a month!”

Not only in the main meal, he also said that before when going on a date with his wife to a coffee shop, they would often order a large hot drink, which was hot chocolate, but after he changed his health habits, he changed to drinking unsweetened soy milk instead, and sometimes if he wanted to let go, he would order a cappuccino with less sugar.

He said he had no idea that a large hot chocolate drink contained 80 grams of sugar, equivalent to 16 sugar cubes, and that he would drink four or more cups a week. It was only after his illness that he began to study food ingredients seriously.

He also emphasized that taking care of your health is important, but finding the right way is even more important. Finding the cause of uncontrollable weight and improving exercise, diet, and life discipline will allow you to lose weight healthily and not gain it back.
